Where does the band name come from and what does it mean?
'Universum' stems from the Latin meaning 'The sum of the whole'. It represents the many examples found in life where a machine's or system's (or band’s ;)) individual components are stronger or more effective as a total sum, working together.
What does Leto Destinatus Mean?
In short, 'Leto Destinatus' means 'Destined to Death'. This is not necessarily a negative outlook on life but an honest, realistic take that we're all here for a short time. So pull your finger out, and do something with it!! ;)
What Does Mortuus Machina mean?
'Mortuus Machina' is Latin for 'The Dead Machine'.
What is the content of your lyrics?
Lyric writing is handled by a number of the Universum members but common threads tie them together. These lyrical themes tap into psychological, social, spiritual and metaphysical spaces.
Where can I find the Universum lyrics or guitar tabs?
Lyrics from both albums are available here at Universum.com.au. If you search the net, it looks as though some cool Universum fans have already uploaded guitar tabs ready for you to download at ultimate-guitar.com. If not, write your own and upload them there!
